Trails & Events

Back in 1995, the Blois family and friends started building Mountain Bike trails on the farm property beginning with an 8km loop behind on a 1000 acre section of their land.  Group rides on these new trails followed and word soon spread within the mountain biking community.

Trail Development

Gore became famous for creating mountain biking experiences dating back to the hay-day of riding. From group rides to endurance races, its all happened in Gore over the years. Events such as 8 Hours of Gore and Gorefest grew to some of the largest in Atlantic Canada with almost 500 participants.

Empire Trails

Gradually year by year, the trail system expanded and evolved with new and improved trails designed for all skill levels and age groups. Today, this system has become advanced 20km trail network known as the Empire Trails.

From Trails, to Events, to Adventure

After years of running successful Mountain biking events, the Blois boys led by Michael started looking into new and exciting event projects to take on.  In 2014, they started building the largest Obstacle Adventure in Canada, known as MudCraft In 2016, they came out with the Milk Run, a dairy farm fun run designed to showcase the farm. IN 2017, they created a Music Festival with the East Hants Chamber of Commerce, called the Country Harvest Festical.  This event was full of Music, food and Wild Events!

Haunted Corn Maze

The focus on this event was on the obstacles which meant they would be big and exciting!  MudCraft has grown to Canada’s largest obstacle course homegrown in Nova Scotia! This event was established in 2014, in Gore, Nova Scotia and is known for its large scale obstacles.

Along with these events, the farm ran a haunted corn maze fir 5 years called "Nights of Gore", which was lead by Emmett Blois and was awarded the scariest haunted corn maze in the province in 2016.
